Heartly is reimagining heart care — focusing on prevention, not just intervention.

Unlocking the secrets to your heart health with a simple method: as easy as ABC

  1. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death globally.
  2. ~17.9 million people died from CVDs in 2019, representing 32% of all global deaths. Of these deaths, 85% were due to heart attack and stroke.
    • ~80% of cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and stroke, is preventable.
Most cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by addressing behavioural risk factors such as tobacco use, unhealthy diet and obesity, physical inactivity and harmful use of alcohol.
    • It is important to detect cardiovascular disease as early as possible so that management with counselling and medicines can begin.
  3. CVDs contribute to approximately 1 in 3 deaths in Singapore, and they levy USD$8.1 billion in direct and indirect costs on individuals, their households and public finances.

Why should heart health matter to me now?

Ever reflected on the stark reality that a substantial majority of individuals ultimately succumb to heart disease? Now, let’s pivot the focus to a more individualised perspective – what is the likelihood that you, too, may be at risk of heart disease?

My name is Dr. Mayank Dalakoti, a cardiologist committed to the advancement of cardiovascular well-being and prevention of disease. On a daily basis, I confront the grim impact of heart attacks and heart failure, encountering instances where our medical interventions fall short.

Consider this proposition: What if you could systematically assess your personal risk factors and proactively institute measures to fortify your cardiac health? This transcends mere disease avoidance; it underscores the cultivation of a life free from the interruptions imposed by health adversities. The crux of this approach lies in preventative strategies. Against the backdrop of contemporary challenges, notably the heightened susceptibility to heart and lung disorders amidst the ongoing complexities of Covid, the imperative is clear – seize control and accord priority to your overall well-being.

Who is this for?

Some may believe that they are immune or unlikely to be affected. There’s a common misconception that heart conditions are solely a result of fate or unfavorable genetics. However, the reality is quite different: compelling evidence indicates that our daily lifestyle choices, the small decisions we make each day, wield the most significant impact on heart health.
