About Us

Welcome to the Heartly heart health community- We’re so glad to have you here.

Heart disease is the greatest epidemic of our generation. We all know someone in our families or social circles who has been affected by it, if not personally. My name is Dr Mayank Dalakoti, and I’m a preventive cardiologist. My life’s purpose has been to try to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease, so that we may be able to prevent it rather than treat it after it has happened. I can recount numerous patients, as young as in their 20s, with bad heart attacks that could have been prevented had they and their families been educated on the prevention of heart disease. Most recently, a friend of mine in his 30s succumbed to a large heart attack, leaving behind 3 young children and his wife. Through my experience working in a busy cardiology center, there have been times I have felt helpless even after doing whatever humanly possible with the most advanced technology and skills.

There is, unfortunately, no comparison between prevention and treatment. On the other hand, we are also seeing human society getting more sedentary, eating more fast food and paying less attention to our health. With the increasing pace of modern lives, pausing to take a moment to consider our own health is becoming a luxury. It is out of this that Heartly was founded, a small spark in the overwhelming darkness. The Heartly community has been created to spread knowledge on the practices towards good heart health. It provides a method based on the latest medical evidence, to begin a path to reduce the chances of developing heart disease early in life- for ourselves, and for the next generation.

We also aim to provide answers to common questions, to reduce misinformation and encourage better heart health. It is our firm belief that only by combining better knowledge and information with better social policies, will we be able to stem the tide of heart disease.

What Is The Heartly Method?

We aim to take you through the various factors that result in the risk of developing heart disease. These include aspects such as the history of heart disease in your family, your own weight, diet, habits such as smoking, conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, and much more. We will explain how these are all related to your heart health, and the positive and negative aspects of certain lifestyles, diets and exercise habits. Finally, you will be guided along a method to follow, to enable you to drastically reduce your heart disease risk in a way that factors in your busy schedule, likes and dislikes.

You would also have access to your very own community of supportive individuals to share this knowledge with. From here, you would have what it takes to start your own journey to heart health. Our experts would be here to support you through implementation challenges and opportunities to be mentored and become mentors in the program. The aim is to develop an ecosystem of like-minded individuals who would then spread this flame on, so that we may be able to change the world for the better.
